The Airbus A380 is a true wonder of modern engineering. It is the largest airliner ever made, with a carrying capability of up to 853 passengers. Being 50% wider than the Boeing 747, it's closest competitor, the Airbus has truly surpassed all previous achievements of plane construction and interior design.
A380's level of comfort (well, at least for business-class passengers) is remarkable. The entire upper-deck is dedicated for premium passengers. All seats can be transformed into full-sized beds (190 cm in length) with a pillow and a mattress. Each passenger has his own mini-bar and a full-sized, bartender-serviced bar is available at the rear of the plane. And on top of all, there are two shower cabins available during flight.
Sergey Dolya, one of Russia's top bloggers, flew with Emirates last week to tell us the story of how flights could look like in the future.
Business and economy class passengers access the plane through different jet bridges and stay on separate floors during the entire flight.

Each row has only 4 seats:

Passengers are given chair stickers so that the air steward would know what to do in case you fall asleep.

The seat can be transformed into a nearly-horizontal 190-cm long bed.

In front of each passenger there is a 17-inch touch screen, electric plug, 2 USB ports (for USB-charging or viewing photos) and a remote-control combined with a satellite phone.
Each seat has it's own wireless control device regulating the backrest angle, lighting level and massage-modes of the chair.

Several external video-cameras are available for viewing.

The back section of the plane accommodates a bar with free drinks and snacks.

Two couches with safety belts are installed along the walls.

Five toilets are located on the second floor and ten are on the first.

Besides the toilets, there are two shower-rooms for first-class passengers. Albeit you must book them one hour in advanced before usage and water is available for only 5 minutes.

First-class passengers have their own bar with better drinks but no bartender for some reason.

A grand staircase is located near the showers. It leads to the first floor where the economy class passengers and the pilots are seated.

On the first floor there are 396 passenger seats.

In the center of the cabin two rooms are dedicated for the crew to rest. Up to 9 persons can sleep here simultaneously.

Some additional facts about the airplane:
14 first-class seats, 76 business-class seats and 396 economy-class seats are located on board. A 7-hour flight is serviced by 27 crew members:
2 pilots
4 head stewards
4 first-class stewards
8 business-class stewards
8 economy-class stewards
1 bathhouse attendant, responsible for the showers
2 additional pilots and 1 extra bathhouse attendant are additionally employed for 14-hour long flights, making it a total of 30 crew members.
Wing span - 80 meters. Fuel stock - 240 tons. The minimum distance for an aircraft trailing an A380 is 11 km. Even Boeing 747 risks being overthrown in air if coming closer to this massive giant.
Engine noise can surprisingly be heard very faintly. The only thing interrupting the silence is the ventilation system on the ceiling.
And for those wondering about the price: return business-class ticket costs $2500, first-class costs $4000 (Dubai-Bangkok destination).

«Oldest ‹Older 1 – 200 of 234 Newer› Newest»What a waste of money.
this is awesome, i would love to ride this plane
its a great plane - i went to oz on it and found the whole experience awesome. I wouldn't choose any other airline as a result.
ps - i was in business
Yes a waste of money...
Our oil money
Economy class totally sucks. I'd rather fly on something smaller than stay seated with 350 folks in one huge room for 7 hours.
Cry harder "Anonymous", war is the big money waster these days. I'll take comfortable transport over killing people any day of the week.
Man that sucks if this thing is landing all other planes would have to stay 11km away. What a nightmare for ATC
WAH.. what a waste of money? Bullshit. If you can actually read this article you will find it seats 853 people! When you think about it, it uses LESS gas and saves time and money, because instead of using multiple smaller planes, more gates runway time, etc. This gets 853 people up in the air all at once.
I saw one of these last summer and no thanks, I'll fly my own airplane. I don't need 515,or 852, of my closest friends around to get to where I'm going. It's the answer to a question that should never have been ask. Now, if I can only stay out of the vortex, 11km away. But, then its not a waste.
and I would still no doubt have a problem getting me another voddy martini!
The maximum capacity of the A380 is indeed 853 people, but only if the plane is converted to full economy class. If you actually read the article, this version only holds 470, or just a little more than half. Don't be fooled into thinking it is as environmentally friendly as it sounds.
I just leave dumb comments without reading the comments of others. If you're still reading this, you may want to do the same. But you won't. you're hoping I say something clever, something of worth. But I'm not. I'm just gonna ramble on with these stupid worthless words that in less than a day won't mean a thing, let alone in five years. This has been a complete waste of my time and yours. I hope your happy. But I'm sure you're not. This has been written with neither wit nor humor. It's just one big long crappy blah session. Of the 2% of you still reading this I have a joke. Three guys are walking down a street. The first two walk into a bar. The third one ducks. Super. Of the 2% I've somehow managed to captivate, like 1% of that total number even got a chuckle there. Oh....My dates here. Later.
dude, no one cares about about being environmentally friendly if it means they have to sacrifice that comfort level. especially not on a 14 hour flight
The most worrying this is... WHY IS THE PILOT ALSO THE BARTENDER?!!
the pilot is not the bartender....
In case you haven't noticed, the pilot is the bartender the bathhouse attendant, the head steward and even the 2 extra pilots for long-distance flights
Naah business sucks. Once I flew first on this baby I never torment myself with anything inferior
That's going to make a mighty big hole in the ground one day.
I agree with what anonymous said!
waw, It is really giant and elegant.
Impressive!
Poor date guy. He'll never asks her out again. Whiner, but, wow what a wily economist.
I wonder how much the ticket costs in that Business class... Must be a fortune!
Return business-class ticket costs 2500$
Return first-class - 4000$
I wouldn't fly on anything from a sandnigger, I hate sandniggers!
The pilot isn't the bartender, that would be the job of the stewards, i would imagine.
And if you're going to be a mindless bigoted idiot, at least have the balls to sign up and put your name on your post.
As well as being, bartender, steward etc....he also plays a stupid ass doctor in scrubs.
Fantastic,mi pxoxima luna de miel quiero volar en este avion al otro lado del mundo!!pero en primera clase con una buena cama para que resista la accion...
no one really cares about your opinion.
Although expensive it would be cool to try first class in this plane just once.
2500/4000$?
I'd much rather stay at home. It's also more comfortable.
The plane is probably full of drunks.
Fuck, this plane's got way too much useless shit. I'd much rather pay half the price and have half the comfort. The chair/beds are nice though.
And all you gold polished ass motherfuckers saying things like "Once you get a load of this plane, everything else leaves your ass unsatisfied", I wish I wasn't an atheist, so I would believe you would burn in hell.
Where the fuck do you get the money?
Golly. Don't some people get upset easily!!!!!
I saw this plane last year at Farnborough Airshow. it was very impressive and QUIET! My son and D-I-L went to Singapore onit earlier in the year and said it was great. As for economy etc... When we all want jet off around the world, I guess we will have to accept bigger planes. As for enonomy - that's fine by me. I refuse to pay (a lot) extra just for a fancy seat. As long as I get fed and watered regularly on a long haul flight, I'm quite happy.
Must be a rough 7 hour flight to require a shower and change of under pants/underwear. No dispenser or vibrator.
And we wonder why they can not pay back the 6 billion dollar loan
I think something else that has been missed here in some of the mindless stupidity, for example: "Anonymous said...I wouldn't fly on anything from a sandnigger, I hate sandniggers!",
is that Airbus is a European company and they manufacture the plane and sell them to Airlines. Second, the fact that this plane causes air turbulence behind it for 11kms is impressive, but when landing other planes can approach at other altitudes and descent patterns in order to avoid this. Aircraft controllers take into account many things to bring a plane down safely which makes it the most stressful job around.
All I keep thinking when looking at this ugly waste of money is titanic, and I hope its carrying the rich list when it goes down.
Agreed with first anonymous, it's a waste of money.
Are (some) people this pampered that they need all this shit, to keep themselves entertained? I mean what's so bad about riding coach, meeting a strange person...and if they're interesting, having a meaningless conversation and if they're undesirable...listen to an MP3 player.
It's like MTV cribs...some shit other people can have...that's completely pointless to the point of "WHY!!?"
I used to have a problem with self-confidence, thinking I wasn't quite as smart as I should be. But that's only because I'm so smart, I realize what I don't know. After reading internet comments, I've realized that I'm quite smart and articulate compared to most other people.
the bad thing is that you don't have seatbelts in the shower :)) or on the toilet seat. imagine a turbulence when you want to take a dump.
I got a chuckle from Anonymous's long rambling joke.
Anyway, this would be some shit by the Dubai Group. Dubai is a fucking crazy waste of money. But it's got so much cool shit.
If 2 of these collide that's one hell of a death toll.
When the Boeing 747 came out, they had an upper deck all set up with luxury everything. There was a grand staircase between the decks. Now they've pretty much given up on that in favor of "how many seats can we pack into this thing?" I suspect the A380 will have a similar story.
Mermaldad, I agree
Economy passengers > business passengers.
90 first-class and business passengers * $3000 (on average) = $270.000
Instead of them, you could place 400 more people paying $1000 on average: $400.000.
But the thing is, airlines seldom have their planes fully packed. So it's better to sell of some the seats with a premium, than not to sell them at all.
Not gonna lie, it would be fun to fly upscale on this sucker, but . . .how utterly wasteful and uncomfortably decadent. This is the kind of thing that makes me not entirely cool with being human. :)
All I have to say is, this may be why they're defaulting on $59 Billion in debt.
first class/business class needs to be eliminated entirely from all airlines.
huge waste.
I just want to know WHY anyone would need to take a 5 minute shower on a flight. Also, what would happen if the plan encountered all sorts of turbulence... while someone was in the shower.
All in all, HUGE waste of money. Yes, it would be nice to live in the lap of luxury during a 14 hour flight... but it's a brief 14 hours compared to the rest of your life where you might need the $4,000 you dropped on a plane ticket for something a little more productive.
However, it would be cool to fly on it... just once... for free :D
Um 11km? There is NO way that this plane could disrupt air that much or that long that another jet would have to trail it for 11km to prevent jet wash, etc.. Makes me wonder about the rest of this blog, that is, what I could count on as truth.
That's about 7 miles.
Have you ever flown anything? There is always a vortex behind a plane created by the pressure difference between the top of the wing and the bottom. Its just like an ocean liner that creates a wake. Its the displacement of something, and if that something is big enough, it will take a while for the medium to return to equilibrium.
WOW, WELL IT WOULD BE NICE JUST TO PLAY AROUND WITH ALL THE NICE EXPENSIVE STUFF LOL, BUT, WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!!! IF YOU NEED TO SHOW YOUR "STATUS" BY WASTING 4 GRAND ON AN AIRLINE TICKET, THEN MAYBE YOU NEED A SLAP IN THE MOUTH. THIS IS JUST RIDICULOUS... I JUST WANNA STEP ON, CHECK IT OUT, AND GET OFF B4 IT LEAVES THE GROUND!
If you're B*tch*ng about this plane then you have no motivation to get into the first class section. Screw a waste of money this is a sick plane, it's not the rest of the world's fault you spent all your money when you were young. Grow a sack
Anonymous, if you don't trust me, read this International Civil Aviation Organization document: http://www.icao.int/icao/en/ro/apac/2007/FIT_SEA5/ip05.pdf
واقعا از هواپیمای توپولوف خیلی بهتره
aaaaa!
but waiters were ugly.you know
خوشحالم شما به آن لذت می برد
I would love to fly First Class and have a shower on board. Airbus is Great !!
How quaint. To think that all that comes from our dollars and Cents buying their oil... while we have all these deposits that can bankrupt them in Alaska .
Air Titanic-hubris in flight-waste of resources
i think its a great looking plane and i would love experiencing a flight on that plane, by the way... some of these comments above are pretty bad, perhaps you should get educated before posting inappropriate comments about a fridging airplane...... losers!!!
Great point Chris. I wouldn't want my brown Twinkies sliding all over the bathroom floor after i missed the toilet because of turbulence. Good job Chris! Way to be the smart one who pointed out an actual flaw in this monster! Speaking for millions across the world, I say "a job well done Chris" and we hope to hear more insight from you soon!
What happened to just flying to where you need to go? Who thought airliners were supposed to be hotels? I can do all the relaxing I want when I'm on land, thank you.
Wow!
Now this is how you travel in style!
now fuck me up the ass!
yeah well ... it's pretty much expected that something like this would show up. the UAE is one of the richest countries in the world, for pete's sake they have a snowboarding park in the desert. it's not really a waste of money for them, if anything, it sorta helps us out because they're buying from us (boeing hq is it washington). but, to each his own ...
What are sandniggers? Are they those really really rich arabs to whom you've been sending all of your money FOR YEARS just to get back and forth? OR are they THE REDICULOUSLY RICH ARABS who've been butt fucking drivers for so long? Guess what...they don't give a shit since they OWN THE AIRLINE DUMBASS! WTF do you own???
I'd be interested in it speed, it's passenger capacity (in any combination) is far greater than the 747. If its speed is equal or faster than the 747 or 777 it could cause some trouble for Boeing. How long to they come out with their own spruce goose?
cool)
i kill sandniggers in order to help my country to get these planes
GOTTA LOVE AMERICA!
I think this is a waste of money, resources, and technology. I know the human race has thought about how to utilize its resources better than this so that it can better itself enough to make a freakin space ship or something of the sort to make flight cextronslooler or something. A minibar on the plane and a shower come on people. Get real!
if you've ever spent between 27 and 45 hours getting from europe to australia on a long haul flight ( depending on stops and delays) then the shower ... the bed and the bar will be the best things you have seen in your entire life ... time travels very slowly when squashed into a plane
gonna be another Titanic/Hindenburg story!
The women need less clothing.
Ok.. This is a response to one of the many Anonymouses in this chat..
If the plane seats 853 people.. Sure less gas and time for pilots to spend at a terminal.. Nice for them.. Internal system failure? 853 people all dying at once? I would honestly have to say.. If anything like that DOES happen.. Ugh.. I cant even say it.. But it is a very nice plane to finish it off with..
Joining the mile high club in this thing would be a once in a lifetime experience. Can you imagine getting some in the shower of an airbus. I now have a new goal in life.
Clearly a lot of comments here are made by people who either:
- Haven't flown any distance
- Haven't flown
- Can't spell
- Can't think for themself
- Can't open their mouth without swearing
- Hate everyone who is different
- Slow down to rubberneck car crashes
- Shouldn't be near a loaded computer
For everyone else, take a chill pill OR take a pat on the back that you're a positive person.
And by the way, relax on the ticket price. The huge majority of people who fly first or business class have had their ticket paid by a company or someone else. If you suffer from envy, go out and try to be a someone and perhaps, one day, somebody might feel inclined to buy you a ticket.
Sharing a shower on a plane? I don't think so. And 5 minutes of water? What a waste, you're better off washing in the sink.
This plane is NOT a waste of money. Whats the big deal about having a mini bar and nice seats?? That stuff is relatively cheap. It's the engines, cockpit, etc that costs the tens of millions - in all planes. And who cares, its not YOUR money. All long range planes should be more like this. Have you ever stayed in a hotel?? They all have TV's, and beds, and appliances. Why don't you just sleep in your car instead? Is that too uncomfortable for you? Well that's how most airplanes are. uncomfortable.
This plane is wayyy more efficient than most of the everyday planes you fly in. Older planes consume much more gas because of inefficient engine designs. This plane is much "greener" for you tree loving hippies. So shut the f*** up you jealous bastards. It's their money, they are free to spend it how they please. $2500 isn't THAT much for an international flight...
I must say. There are more retarded posts on this page than I think I have ever seen anywhere on the internet before. God bless America.
Why so angry people? It's just a plane. I own five of these.
I feel like this will be the next Titanic...only instead of an iceberg, some retarded bird will get sucked up by it.
perfect for the zombie apocalypse.
Cool.I was really hope i can have vacation soon..
And these rich Muslim assholes want to destroy the infidels because of their licentious, gaudy lifestyle..what a fuc of a religion, what a fuc race - these raghead muslim fools!
190cm bed....... this service is only good for midgets!
To Anon...And these rich Muslim...
Apart from using some big words, do you actually know what you mean apart from hating? Your poor grammar has just made you look dazed and confused.
To Anon...190cm bed...
That's 6'3" in the old system. Hardly midget. 1"=2.54cm OR 1"=25.4mm OR... it's a decimal system, you can take it from here
Wow, what a plane this is...
Would love to have at least one journey in the same flight.
Dubai is such a place where you will find all the hotels and flights are such luxurious.I had spend a some days in a hotel at Dubai, and let me tell you that Dubai is the best place to see such luxurious flights and hotels around you.
Anonymous from 6:53, not every person in Dubai is Muslim. Yes, the Shari'ah Law is implemented into the government, but the Shari'ah Law is actually very practical in most cases and emphasizes respect. I'm a devout Christian and even I think everyone could learn from the Shari'ah Law. And, in case you were wondering, Muslim and Arab are not interchangeable words. Indonesia has the highest percentage of Muslims. Before you go on a rant about "those Muslims", how about you learn a little more about them. The world would be a lot more peaceful if everyone were more educated and not so ignorant.
sounds kinda cool but I'd rather have a plane that gets me where I want faster
It was called Concorde
This plane has been obsolete for 70 years
Holy crap! You could have an orgy in that bathroom!!!
Psh thats nothing I have on of those in my back yard!
OMG!!!!
This is so cool!!!
$2500 return flight first class?
THAT IS SOOOO CHEEEAAAPPPP!!!!
I would totally take emirates. 17 hours journey to Malaysia would be so much more comfortable and exciting with this plane! The last time I took British Airways, KLM, Singapore Airlines, they are not comfortable at all. Just a waste of money. Jetlag + Ache all over your body sitting for 17 hours = the worst thing ever!.
BUT!
with this A380, Life's going to be much better!!!
Thanks Dubai Corp for making life much more better for the consumers of the world!!!.
By the way, only fools will say that this plane is a waste of money. It is totally worth it. So cool!!! Thanks for the inspiration. I really like to have business with Arab countries!¬ They are so richhh and fabulous!!!! ££££££££££££££££ :)
$4k for first class travel is pretty cheap!
This will be one of my 2010 " to do" list for sure! =)
re: Annon December 3, 2009 6:53 PM
Do you even own a passport? You low class uneducated ignorant redneck!
What a waste of money? You idiot, if you want to save so much damn money, walk wherever you're going. For people that are over 6' and can't sleep on planes, this is a godsend. Not a waste at all. I've been waiting for A-380's to come around. Also, I bet there's no bartender for first class so they can make their drinks stronger, hehehe
Well well well :) I never laughed so hard on a bunch of comments on a blog in my internet life! This was funny as I don't know what. Especially the people talking about this thing being a waste of money hahahahahahh. and the ones talking about the pilot being everything in the pics, funny as hell hehehehehehe. I am not gonna pay for the plane flight at all, nor am I gonna work for someone who pays for the ticket to get on. Don't care one way or another. This world is so big, and has so many actors in it, get real people. You can spend your labor dollars and energy anyway you want and its not money that is costing, its the people who put their labor energy into it to be designed and built. It doesn't really hurt the economy when everyone has a car and their own house in the United states. Come on, you are just bitchin because you cant get on the ridiculous thing. It is a piece of crap to enjoy while on this earth should you choose to enjoy it. With all the worthless shit on this earth, you pick on this little thing. hehehehee funny, stop working so hard for things you hate and you may enjoy some things you don't understand. I probably would check it out cause people are so darned disgusted at its creation, it might actually be fun. Amusement parks are worthless, hollywood is worthless, and so is the stock exchange, but no one is complaining about that. I'll ride that shit before I pick up a tabloid or work for a corporation or pay for a freaking concert ticket, or even go to an American College for that matter, yep I said it... and I am American heheheheh...I say kudos to having an idea and being able to spend your time and energy(and others) on something you love....KUDOS...you might try not complaining about someone elses dream, try NOT complaining about the use of the earth and TRY being creative yourself, then you wont have time to criticize someone or people for not thinking about you when they designed something, it's YOUR JOB TO CARE ABOUT U. It's totally okay for them to do this and if Dubai wants to run themselves in the ground with technology, let them LEARN THEIR way please and find something positive for you to do, I did, I got bored and read these comments and laughed till I was blue in the face then I got an idea now I am gonna get off of here and be creative, thanks for the laugh!..ANNDDDD Nice freaking plane and design...have more fun while u still can....everything isnt about the economy..stop watching the news so much and open your eyes to life!
Great plane, great photos, stupid article.
So many items are wrong, beginning with the first paragraph which states that the A380 is "50% wider than the Boeing 747".
Not true. External widths:
A380: 7.14 m (23.4 ft)
B747: 6.5 m (21 feet 4 in)
Internally:
A380 6.58 m
B747 6.1 m
I cant beleive the negetive winers in here on this, I think this bird is an amazing acomplishment of man/women kind and we should praise the people responsable for the design and marketing of this great bird.
It's a very ugly airplane. Visually unappealing...
For those of you who think $2500 return is a high fare - it cost my family more than that per person to fly cattle class (economy) return to the UK in the 80's, and not much less to fly return cattle class to LA THIS YEAR. If we'd been able to fly on the A380, we would have. And just remember, it is tourists like us who visit your cities and towns and pay our hard-earned cash to your stores, and your restaurants, and hotels, and malls and inject MILLIONS of dollars into your economies, and pay your wages etc. Without tourists, your economies would suffer badly.
Get off your environmental high horse and look at the bigger picture...
Looks awesome. I think I'd be a little nervous that something so large is in the air, but other than that, seems comfy. You don't have to deal with your neighbor for the 12+ hour flights.
Forget the plane ... I just love reading the comments and laugh about how people can get so engaged/enraged/infatuated around something that is really as interesting as a new airport terminal.
yawn.
Do they make the women cover their heads?
Disgusting.
Overrated, unnecessary, luxurious waste of money. The economy is in the shitter and people will spend money on this crap? Sorry but if a cheap coach flight is SO much of a torture to you that you HAVE to fly on something like this, then you have problems.
WOW! But can they fly you into a building at the end of your journey?
needs hookers
realllly cool, but a GIANT waste. i bet removing the showers alone would save several million each year.
Hey guys, feel sorry for Anonymous. Must be a very frustrated gringo seeing the world move on and leave gringolandia tecnologically far and far behind.
Sure is great--for the 1% of the world's population that can afford a ticket.
i wish i could go in 1st class, does any1 know any rich sandniggas that will fund my trip?
A reply to a post made on December 20, 2009 11:14 PM.
The economy isn't doing to well because people are not spending as much... So, according to your statement, you actually want the economy to get worst.
People, expensive things pays the workers as well as the government. Stop complaining about it being a waste of money when it's a method of earning money for companies and governments.
Also, spaceships should have showers; therefore, this plane is the step in the right direction...
just imagine how many pollutants this ridiculous plane emits into our atmosphere each trip.
WASTE OF MONEY! not because I can't get on it becauseI I most certainly could, but because i don't need all these amenities and will not be going to the middle east, ESPECIALLY ON A PLANE THAT SITS 853 PEOPLE! But the bottom line to all of you is that if you read the article the plane only sits "14 first-class seats, 76 business-class seats and 396 economy-class seats are located on board. which is no where near 853, also Im happy all of the people flying to dubai and hong kong can put 240 tons of fuel into this futuristic piece of shit, to fly half its capacity.......but you need to stare at hardwood when your sleeping in your stretch bed? ok im done
just save money by taking a regular plane. then you can stay in a fancy hotel when you get to wherever the heck you are going.
Who cares! Whom ever wants to travel in it, fine...Whom ever doesn't...don't. Big deal!!
It was great when they could afford it. They knew what they wanted and were willing to pay for it. Now Emirates is cancelling and deferring contracts everywhere. These guys used to make tons of money, now they bleed cash. By the way, most people can't afford the ticket. Too bad my job depends on me staying mostly quiet....
A bunch of you are complaining that it is not needful and so forth....well, think to yourself,"What do I do for a living?" And then,"How does this impact my industry?"
Quite frankly, those with money supply jobs in thousands of ways. If you hate people with money, then you hate earning a living. I don't earn a whole lot, but I am happy. If I had more money, I would use it to start a business and pass on those blessings. You might say that rich people are snobby. I have met 'poor' people that are snobby too. Money and prosperity aren't the problem. It is like any other tool. These airbuses are supply thousands upon thousands with jobs. Those that manufacture EACH PART of the plane as well as those work ON the plane and those that produce the FOOD SERVED on the plane. Just think about what you are saying before you say it. There is some guy in Taiwan that is thankful for that plane because his job is more secure making LCD screens or microchips. There is some fellow in Kansas that produced the corn that fed the cow that was butchered by some fellow and is now on the menu aboard this marvel of engineering and ingenuity.
I’d love to fly in this plane. What an experience! Living in Australia, it’s a long way from anywhere to travel and this baby would make such a long trip all the more pleasant and comfortable. I hope Australian airlines catch on soon and purchase some of these. It’s called progress. I find it amusing that so many people are against it. As for the racial comments, it’s totally unnecessary and immature but I feel the need to join in on the action (which makes me just as immature). America has more debt than the UAE . USA debt is 2.72 trillion dollars to date. You have the highest rate of uneducated people in the free western world. You have the highest obesity rate. So I’d be inclined to say that makes you a bunch of fat, stupid poor hicks who really have no understanding of what progress is all about. Muslims aren’t the problem in the world, Americans are.
I think you will find that Qantas have quite a few of these babies!
Boo Hoo Hoo...
1. Waste of money - it's not YOUR money!
2. Polluting the air and planet - shut the fuck up with all your fake 'green' bullshit!
3. Sandniggers? - there are good and bad people in EVERY society. It is so amazing to me how people blame a whole group for the misdeeds of a few.
4. Etc., etc., etc.
As I read these comments, I can't help but see so much envy, pettiness, and just plain insecurity in most of the responses.
It is quite telling that most of them are from 'anonymous'! That makes me laugh, yet, it also makes me sad knowing these poor people can't see the positive side of this technological marvel.
I have a feeling they can't see the positive side of much in this wonderful experience we call life.
I've said enough. Love it, hate it, don't give a damn about it. Be well.
JimLane
Live well,
Laugh often,
Love ALWAYS! :^)
I have to admit, this plane looks awesome and i possibly enjoy the ride. They did a great job designing it, but i have to agree to the fact that they wasted so much money. The money could have gone to other useful needs. And i find it hilarious to compare it to Titanic, wasting so much money on one lousy plane, and within minutes that plane can be vanished. Just a thought, >__<
Olá,
Muito bonito e luxuoso!

LISTEN UP!! OK seriously people, to those self righteous, ignorant and immature people who think that this is not a waste of money...you're so wrong and I'll tell you why. And to all those people who said it was a waste of money, none of you brought the fact of why its a waste of money. I challenge all of you to not take a pleasure trip for once to places like Dubai, but rather go to a country where people have less than you, which there are a lot to choose from. For example, go to Malawi where we needed armed guards 24/7, where people are so poor that they rarely eat, where people can't even take care of a simple tooth ache which we don't think twice about while it could kill those people (don't laugh, I'm in dental school and dental pathologies can easily escalate to life threatening situations if not taken care of), where AIDS is so rampant that over a %50 of people have it and most don't even know how you get it cause no one has ever taken the time to tell them, where fathers not only have to worry daily how they will feed their family, but also are in constant fear because of the rampant crime. Take one mission trip and you'll see how we are such irresponsible SOBs with our money, time and energy, always trying to find ways to make our own lives better and satisfy our WANTS instead of trying to meet the NEEDS of others. Don't get defensive reading this cause you know its true, just put yourself in their shoes and then see how you feel about it.
Just a side note...if you have a valid point to make, as soon as you use bad grammar, it completely nullifies your comment. How do you expect people to take you seriously when if you can't even spell correctly etc.
See how annoying that is when your comments don't make sense (see the end of the above side note for example)
Okay Luke on 26/2, always be very careful when you tell people to watch their grammar. As soon as you wrote %50 I realized you probably wrote in a hurry. I haven't proof read the whole article for mistakes but pedantically, I suspect there might be one or two others.
Anyway, it's wonderful that you have a conscience and are prepared to put your heart on your sleeve. However, I have traveled to many poor places and seen the poverty you speak of and I can assure you of one thing, as long as there are residents of these places, there will be inequities and corruption. And you know what? If you give aid and opportunities to people, the clever ones will convert those benefits to education and convert that education into all sorts of benefits. Some for good and some for less than good. Never forget the definition of foreign aid: Poor people from rich countries giving money to rich people from poor countries. Sadly cynical but true - I've seen it and been amongst it. Little foreign-educated rich kids in European cars driving out to the sweatshops in the slums to make sure everyone keeps their noses to his or her grindstones.
What does this have to do with the Airbus? Apparently you are better at dentistry than economics. For any person, place or organization to prosper, somebody somewhere has to buy and sell their products. Whether it's poor cow-herders tending cattle destined for the tannery to be made into hides for aircraft seating, cotton growers making...I'm sure you get it.
I take the gist of your comments but I can assure you that if you somehow stood at the airport and screamed to travelers, "this isn't right, this isn't moral, Airbus and Boeing are only in this for the money" you'd be looked at very strangely.
One final question. How did you get to wherever you've been? Bicycle?
Nice to see Arabs enjoying the money they are extorting from Western Democracies- rather than being awed by this, we should be disgusted by the wasteful extravagance of these Arab shiekhs
love emirates.. wish i could afford to fly first class on this!! i've paid for my fair share of oil; at least it is possible for me to experiance some of the fruits of that.. no-one goes into business to lose money..why should the arabs be any different??
bloody hippies, get out and live life, ok? crying about every little thing won't stop the world turning. at least you us realists something to laugh at (ozredman, i'm with you)....thanks!
left out the word "give" before "us realists"....
A fascinating thread with many angry people telling us they have the answers. Sadly this explains why the human race is doomed - never being able to agree about anything, however trivial, and the never ending population increase will eventually seal our fate, if we don't kill each other first. I prefer the swifter cleanser, E.L.E. - would do this beautiful planet a huge favour and rid it of the single most destructive virus ever known - mankind.
Awesome !! Keep on constructing :D
The future of airplanes are in your hand =D
anonymous, you're a funny guy. why do i think low iq racists are funny?? cos the things you say just prove you are indeed a low iq racist, and your iq isn't hi enough for you to realize! hilarious!
keep up the good work!! ;)
You're ALL wrong! This is very controversial, but not. It wastes gas, but saves gas too. It is better than spending money on war, however war is a more worthy cause.
I wonder how many starving children you could feed with this waste of cash... never mind the ticket costs...
imagine how many children are kept from starving with massive projects like these. imagine how many jobs are created, and how many workers are able to provide for their families...
quit being so ignorant people.

you are a massive idiot. what about the jobs created? then those workers pay their bils; more jobs, and so on. and he buys things..more jobs, and so on. maybe the workers give their kids an education; more jobs, and chances for better jobs for the next generation. and so on.
god you hippies make me sick. you have NO IDEA about how the world works, but anyone who disagrees with "opinions" is wrong.
do you all think that people go into business to lose money? should every successful person be responsible for all thats wrong in the world??
for fucks sake grow up, get out of university(or worse, your parents house), and see a bit and live a bit.
Oh boo hoo. Can you imagine how many starving people you could feed if you diverted war budgets to aid budgets. How many people you could feed by not wasting money on farm subsidies. By not bailing out criminally negligent insurance companies and finance houses.
Let's make it law that Airbus doesn't spend money making planes but instead, gets everything they can from their customers and gives it to starving children. And let's get a UN resolution forbidding private corporations from buying new aircraft. They have to give it to starving countries and just keep maintaining their old fleet.
Hey, why stop there? There's all sorts of waste soaking up money that could be spent somewhere else.
Have a think about the benefits of planes like this. Without R&D from organizations like Boeing, Airbus, NASA, etc. we'd all be falling out of the sky in oversized Sopwith Camels.
You're the same people that bitch and moan about wasted fuel in Formula 1, etc. Never stopping to think about the massive, beneficial spin-offs from these endeavors.
Go back to school, study basic economics or social science or 'anything' that will encourage some clear, informed thinking.
Who knows - you might get a career that gets you a ticket on one of these planes. That'd wipe the sanctimonious frown off your face.
This is a pretty cool plane but if you did crash (I'm not saying you would) but if you did thats gonna be BIG and your whole thing would go sown the drain!
Maybe your really safe! I would love to go on this plane and think the cabins are sweet and very cosy!
I love the idea of having a bar and the seats pull out to beds, on the other planes its hard to sleep as you have kids kicking you behind , someone elbowing you and the drinks are expensive! It must be a load of money to ride it but I expect it's worth every penny!
Wish I could go!
WOW....i guess we're NOT running out of fuel after all. The tickets being so expensive, how do they expect to get any business? I will say pass to this.
Man, enough about the war. Sure we spent money on it and sure that money could have gone somewhere else, but let's get real. If we don't fight on their turf, they'll fight on ours and we can't let that happen.
It's a dirty job and no one wants to do it, but somebody HAS to do it.
Other than that, this is a kickass plane, but I wouldn't spend my money on it. I'd rather skydive or something like that.
The question about the war should other. Because only innocent and incultural people still believe the war is being done to protect anything... It´s just like the "weapons of massive destruction". If you want to talk about money you have to talk about money and vice versa. Because that´s the only reason the war is being carried out... Control the oil countries and make money... This isn´t a specific country question, everyone´s doing it (check the russia and georgia conflict; check south africa conflict and some natural resources countries) but please be honest... This is our world and one of the major money inputs for the last years has been the armament companies... and yeah, that´s also just a coincidence... Just don´t sollow everything it´s said and try to actual know facts before making a judgment...

ummm... what??? you make no sense making a nonsense point.
war has always been profitable; since the dawn of of time, mans primary goal in warfare is wealth aquisition.
what you and no-one else seems to understand is that it is not greed that's the problem, but man. humans are the fatal flaw in any plan, system or ecology. if it isn't money, it's religion. if it's not either of thse two, it's territory. or any combination.. if it wasn't for those things, we'd fight over t-shirt colours, or the length of eyelashes, or the number of stars in the sky.....
pessimist? i prefer realist. which is why you have to take pleasure where you can find it. which was the point of this article in the first place: a magnificent airplane built by whomever.. if you can't afford to ride in it, you can at least look at and think "wow". i know i'd be on this thing in a second; sippin champagne, lookin at the hot stewardess', livin it up.
but no. 90% of the idiots who see this article cry about war, or arabs, or oil money, the environment, other idiots, bush jr, jesus or whatever other crap they can come up with to piss on something just co it's not there cup of tea.
typical humans: the reason the world is fucked.
Join us at Campaign For Liberty to help replace the politicians who ignore the oath they take. No one asks them what the oath even means to them!
The Founders meant to limit the Congrass by enumerating the powers granted in Article 1 Sections 8, 9 10.
Congress assumes they can grasp any power if they get enough votes whether the power is authorized or not.
No authorization in the Constitution for anything but gold and silver coins to be legal tender. Instead Bernanke prints all the Federal Reserve Notes he wants which makes them all worth less and less. Gives the power lusters more to spend in the meantime but will destroy the dollar.

"No authorization in the Constitution for anything but gold and silver coins to be legal tender."
umm.., are we missing something here? you WANT to go back to gold and silver coin currency?? who's gonna pay for that????
i think you'll find that u.s. currency is falling in value because u.s. business and banking cannot be trusted to do the right thing. congressmen maybe hypocritical and ignorant, but but the financial problems the world face(d) were due purely and only to greed by american industry.
taking literally everything originally written in a 300 year old document will not change the fact that PEOPLE ARE GREEDY SCUMBAGS. if you and your group, or the radical, racist(and unrealistic)) tea party groups get their way, the same problems will be there. because the people in charge will always take advantage of their power for their own gain. every time. no matter what their original political inclination. anarchist, republican, libertarian... greed is the only real currency.
So this is all made of wood? How could radar see it?
yep thats right. the whole plane is wood. radar not s'posed to see it. it's a stealth liner. for celebrities and such to avoid the paparazzi.
I hit this blog while using Stumble.com and I have just spent the last thirty minutes reading wisdom and stupidity on this blog. I admit that I thoroghly enjoyed the thread. Just enjoy your fellow man... if he is a bigoted, poorly educated, insecure and unpopular person, don't condemn him. He has purpose as a comedic break in your day and to make you feel better about yourself and your morals. Love something about everyone!
Imagine how hard it is going to be the fill this plane on most routes.
How count they have used wood to build it? Egypt used up all their wood making the pyramids. Joezona is right - you people are just ignorant.
actaully, the plane is built in the UAE. and they have plenty of wood. they grow it below the surface of the man-made islands. top quality! super fast growth!
That sounds SO cool! I would love to ride this plane if only it weren't so expensive.. :\
This is the coolest plane I have ever seen in my life. I'd ride in it in a heartbeat.
when i get rich, I'll buy this plane...
This is almost a prototype star destoyer...
Actually, the plane is not strictly all wood. There is a lot of bamboo in it which grows in the desert. Bamboo is a grass - just needed to clarify that.
As a side note, the Chinese are also planning a similar aircraft using identical construction techniques and this will commence in 2015. They have taken a 30% share in Airbus Industries and that figure is predicted by analysts to grow to as much as 35% in the next few years.
It's anticipated that the Chinese Jumbo (code named Panda), will be used on a variety of high volume routes such as the west coast of the US to cater for the ever expanding Chinese tourist market.
Many US airlines, already in talks with their Chinese competitors, will use Chinese investment capital to bolster their involvement in South American bamboo production through favourable cargo deals.
It's amazing what global economics is achieving in geo-political terms and I think we could all benefit from following this case study.
I'd like to post an order for 200 yards of that top quality wood. Can somebody hook me up? I was trying to use this composite resin but the stuff is just too gooey.
I've never seen so many whinging pansies in one place at one time. Slap your arse with a camel and see how you like it. Congratulations, a wonderful expression of modernity.
This is ridiculous. They are banging on about how big this plane is, when it is clearly hardly any bigger than a Cessna. I would never fly on anything this small. The Boeing 737 is much bigger, and at least the pilot doesn't have to be all the flight attendants and look after the bathroom as well! Oh, as well as being the two spare pilots and some guy off a TV program. I don't want my pilot clip-clopping down the aisles in his high heels serving drinks when he is supposed to be flying my plane! What next? Maybe the pilot will be all the passengers as well! And they expect to make a profit from this thing? The smart money is still on big planes with propellors and pilots who actually fly. Don't waste your money on this tiny little piece of crap. Save your money and fly on a real plane. One with wings, for instance. Yes! The reason they never show the wings on pictures of the A380 is because it doesn't actually have any. It is a well kept secret that this plane can't actually fly. They just change the scenery around you. I flew from New York to Paris on an A380 yesterday, or so I thought. The Eiffel Tower was made of cardboard, and all the French people were actors. They didn't even speak French. They just spoke English in ridicuous French accents, and I suspect that they were actually from New Jersey.
This latest comment from Anonymous (who is actually me) is totally ridiculous. The Boeing A380 is actually the largest single object on earth. In terms of weight and volume, it dwarfs all three great pyramids, and could easily contain ever other aircraft that has ever flown. Oh, and still have room left to accomodate 1.3 million first class passengers. Even the economy class passengers have seats as big as Taiwan, and when the nose of the plane reaches Paris, the tail is still over New York. This plane is so big that it emits gravitational waves that actually alter space and time. One consequence of this is that you arrive at your destination before you even step on the plane. Who the hell needs wings? One advanced safety measure unique to the Boeing A380 is that if the plane crashes, then they simply cancel the flight in advance and give all the passengers full refunds. You clearly know nothing at all about aeronautics. Oh, and as for the pilot being all the other cabin crew: Yes, he is, but he a very, very big pilot. He has to get his high heels custom made. Each shoe is longer than Italy.
actually, you're both wrong. or right. thanks to advances in quantam mechanics, this plane is actually both the smallest AND largest object on earth. and in a different dimension, it's also the most sideways. the universe is contained within; the aircraft, is in fact, our universe, the milky way being just behind the aft toilet. sub-atomic particles that are the crew and staff, are actually planet-size(not jupiter, that would be stupid), and the passengers are gods(yes, plural)whi dictate life and death according to whim, or availability of cosmic size bourbon bottles, which are actually microsopic.
the future of transport has already happened fifteen times!!
(WARNING: this webpage has yet to made. all comments made thru wormholes will need approval).
Dear Aussie. Your wisdom is astonishing and your insights life changing. The Boeing A380 is the alpha and the omega. Before it there was nothing. It is inside every one of us, and without it, not even God would exist. The Boeing A380 is my church. It is where I heal my hurts. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Boeing. Amen.
"The Boeing A380. So good, it invented God."
I hereby grant Boeing permission to use this in their marketing.
this plane is not to be denigrated or lauded ignorantly. it is a precursor to Xenu's volcano kamikaze soul destroying planes. the plan is to build enough of them to fly the entire population of earth during a international incident, not to be divulged just yet,and while everyone is aloft, crash them into the worlds volcanoes.this will trigger bigger magmatic pressures that eventually fart out the north and south poles, sending the earth out of its orbit whizzing towards chaos and destruction unique in the annals of stupidity. beware of the a380. look out. 80
Now I'm scared. I think we should all boycott Boeing products until they assure us that the A380 is not an instrument of Xenu.
Pity. I was looking forward to taking possession of those Tomahawk missiles. :-(
First of all it Airbus not Boeing!!!!
people need a reality check, there are people that fly for a living, meaning that they are often on a plane. i know this for a fact because i travel about 160 days of the year to all places. The 4000$ per flight is nothing new, what do you think we used to pay when it was a regular seat that was simply bigger and had a TV.
First and Business class are exactly for people that first, HAVE money, or the company they work for is paying. Second not for people that take a flight once in a blue moon. After 14 hours of flying then come talk to me.
Most of the time you get out of the plane and have to go straight to a meeting. For most of you here that have no clue what it means to work for more the 200K a year and won't ever take a plane like this is your life. You should simple shut the hell up and go back to your bull shit!!!
Have a nice life!!!
AIRBUS AIRBUS AIRBUS AIRBUS AIRBUS AIRBUS!!!!!!!
Not an American Product!!!!!
this new, somewhat crazy anonymous has reminded me that with great power comes great responsibility. it is therefore my honour and duty to announce to the world that I AM THIS AIRCRAFT!!!!!! iam BOTH BOEING AND AIRBUS. YES, I AM XENU; I AM ALPHA AND THE OMEGA!!!!!! excuse me; the middle of my back is unbearably itchy.. i'll just send the pilot round to... aahhh that's better. now, as i was saying.. this new crazy anonymous needs re-assurrance. he thinks having to be on aircraft half the year is hard; what about the pilot(my priests)? but what about me BEING the plane(not to mention everything else that is or was or will be) MY ENTIRE EXISTANCE?? which is the existance of existance. also, being both airbus and boeing, and therefore both american and european, think of the personality conflict: first i think i'm the greatest, then i hate my guts, then i pee on the street wherever i am, then i invade a country to protect freedom(OIL! OIL! OIL!), then i have a nice cup of espresso and ride my bike everywhere....it's hard! i mean, i'm always tired, everyones always praying to me; and talk about money... organizations that claim to follow me are rich; the vatican is it's own country for my sakes!! but do i ever see a penny NNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! so, in closing i would just like to remind crazy anonymous that people have it worse off than you, and you should read a little closer and grow a sense of humour(yes, i am a fallible deity; some of my work is flawed).
yours sincerely, your god(s), alpha/omega/xenu/boeing/airbus/THIS luxury a380.
That is absolutely frightening- amazing and awesome, yeah- but frightening. How the hell does that thing stay in the air? I'd be scared shitless to ride in it.
no usa stops. we're slippin. we should be the top destination for business. instead our main export is war. see the fall of the usa empire on pay per view.
Very impressive. The bathroom alone looks bigger than my apartment...
Most excellent. I especially like the crew rest compartment with the curtained beds. Gonna be a whole lot o' fuckin' going on in there, I think.
If I were a single man I'd want to fuck two Qantas stewardesses at the same time in there, then shower off afterwards. What fun.
Fuck the planet, and fuck resources... we screwed up on that one a lONG time ago. I wanna travel all over the world. I will ride this plane before I die! And I'm gonna take a shower in it, and sleep on the tiny beds, and get wasted at the minibar!
And what's up with all the God Bless America posts? SHUT THE FUCK UP, ASSHOLES! Blah blah muslims oil oil oil muslims... WAHHHH!!!
You Christian conservative asshole racists need to just die already and go to "white people heaven" where you'll never be bothered by another muslim/black/indian/mexican ect again...
Here's an idea...Let's get a planeful of muslims and hijack the plane...maybe fly it into the Burj...nah, that would be wrong.
Boeing really made a mistake not using more bamboo in this plane. Now that Chinese 'Panda' (code name Grass Goose) - that will be a big money maker.
I heard Richard Dawkins was suing this plane for crimes against humanity. Boeing is really screwed now.
if you only knew what's wrong with the A380....it has technical problems always. hahahahahaha! externally (including cabins) it is a beauty but "internally", IT IS A MESS..! wanna baet..?
that plane is better than my house...can I live in it?
I heard the entire upstairs smells just like animal ass. The bathrooms leak into the wood frame and rot. Did you hear the computer controlling this uses only weights, reeds, and wheels? That way they can operate underwater for up to 12 minutes for accidental sea landings.
the eyes of al-Qaeda operatives are sparkling with interest !
Hey is that Jerry Seinfeld mixing it up at the bar?? Laughing all the way to the bank...
Sign me up!
I don't know why anonymous is acting like its his/her job to make a bad impression of the damn airplane!! I have to say to you anonymous - you are wasting your time commenting on this when you don't like it. If you don't have enough money, then butt out of this and give the rich ones some space to like it if they want to!!!
This plane is so awesome. Only a country as great as the USA could build something so amazing. Boeing was so smart to make this plane.
wow surprised this bad boy can even fly or get off the ground. well i wont be flying emirates any time soon at 2500 dollars its kind of expensive. nice pictures and great tour thanks
I had to read for awhile to get to the 'Smartass' that mentioned the Harem Leader looked like the guy from 'Scrubs'..haha..totally.
I'm an former F-15 pilot and would'nt waste my time trying to fly one of these beasts. Compliments to the flight attendents. Do hand jobs come with first class?
i stopped reading about half way down, because i don't want to read any more of the extremely insulting racist comments being made! i am a born and bred canadian (BC), and i can't believe the immature and disrespectful comments some people are making. there's lots of sides to all of this, and oil consumption etc., but stop and think about what your doing/saying....you're generalizing....you're talking about people. if we didn't buy the oil and gas, it wouldn't be an issue.....where is your discrimination coming from? i thought our canadian and especially BC culture had moved passed all of this.....
Could somebody clarify... is bamboo a grass?
Get off your high Canadian Mountie horse, mr. Anonymous, if that is your real surname. Just because you rich Canadians made this plane it's no excuse to lecture us about how the Emirates uses our American oil on life-sized flight attendants made out of petroleum jelly. Xenu will curse you to smell like animal ass for that.
yes i will!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There is a lot of poverty in our world, begining with the lack of sense of all this poor people who call themselves as a "rich people".
I really don't envy this absurd luxury! Make me sick.
those who say "what a waste of money" - at least they aren't spending it on guns and bombs. Building and operating that plane provides a lot of high paying jobs to average people
get a life, liz. welcome to the world. some people have more than other people. always has been like this, always will. go cry into your wheatgrass juice somewhere else.
what about the "poor people" that will eat the next few months because of the jobs they have building/working on this plane??
or should all the "poor" have absolutely nothing; dressing in rags and living in shacks, bodies frail and bloated with malnutrition, so as to be readily identified by holier-than-thou, "i've got all the answers" liberal hippy student douchebags like you, most of whom have never even done their own laundry, and think "latte" is a dietary staple.
ps, liz; your engrish is terrible. if you are ashamed to write in your native language, don't write at all, 'cause your written english is non-sensical and comical.
That ´s agreat Plane Boeing suck anyway , Airbus plane are much better
Aussie Scott is right - Boeing is helping the economy by building this beautiful plane so you poor people can get jobs making wheatgrass latte's and doing laundry for that pilot who doubles as the bartender and the bathroom geisha. But Liz, when you say 'make me sick', did you mean it? Because I think I can. With the ripe smell of animal ass. Yeah, you heard me right, I make my espresso with oil. I pee on your puny undervalued currency. Then I salt and pepper my mango. Ripe. Ass.
Man I wish SO MUCH that I could've had a ride like that to Chile... it was a nine-hour flight (in coach seating) and it was absolutely MISERABLE. Impossible to sleep because it was so cold, the seats barely reclined, and someone stole my pillow. lol
YEAH!!! nyah-nyah!! pphhffftttt!!!!!!
ps.. love the bathroom geisha!!!
I think the bathroom geisha is made of wood.
what an incredible plane - how I wish I could fly in!!
Shit i'd ride this just so I could masturbate in the showers.
AT 3000 FEET IN THE AIR!
So much to say but I'll leave it at this:
You idiots complaining about a down world economy know that people have to make and spend money to maintain the economy right?
Fuck you people are stupid.
As stated, Airbus is a European company and they're really only making the plane for Asian countries. I don't expect any Airlines in America to ever pick it up. They're all waiting for the 787.
Also, Ozredman, I think I love you.
This looks great, a bit expensive for my budget and.... I'd rather be home where I can take pretty much unlimited showers. Instead of making the plane nicer, consider making it twice as fast, that would help!
There is nothing wrong with comfort. Its the price you pay for the comfort that is wrong and flying economy sucks but we deal with it.It beats taking your ass in open water and swim to the other side.
