According to official documents, the Chinese gymnast is aged 16, however in 2006 Chinese newspapers mentioned that she is 13 and therefore could not participate in the Olympics.
The case has nearly been dismissed, as the International Olympic Committee stated that they would not investigate the discrepancy. However things have changed thanks to an independent investigation by a famous blogger. Yeah, she sure doesn't look like she's 16. But of course there is nothing impossible in China. It may even turn out she is a boy!
