so many stereotypes...

Anonymous said...

@anonymous I think that was the point.

forget racist stereotypes, all the drivers were men , every last one.

yes, the point is to be stereotypical. because honestly, by just looking at the driver pictures, could you tell where each of them is supposed to be from? obviously, these aren't being serious, but sadly no one knows enough about other cultures to be able to tell which is which without stereotypes such as "Octoberfest" (which would be Oktoberfest), or a ninja, or illegal aliens crossing the border.

Funny how the American was fat. They nailed us.

brendan said...

they would have nailed us a lot harder had they had the American driver bitching about stereotypes and claiming sexism over stupid shit.

Grow up, people, learn how to LET SHIT GO.

To people who don't like stereotypes:

These are merely caricatures, not serious guides for people on how to tell between nationalities. Please learn to tell the difference between parody and racism.

I am amused by this one. Anybody who is offended needs to loosen up their sphincter and see these cartoons for the humor the artist intended!

It's not like the UK and Mexico have that many fewer fatties. They're what, 80% as fat?

Alaska isn't a country. I can't believe how many Americans commented on this and didn't notice that. Unbelievable.

Talk about unbelievable... Where did you come up with Alaska? Is that the only place it gets cold and people wear parkas? What a numbnut.

There were no woman because they would have been in a ditch.

Anonymous said...

Haha, there were no women because they should still be in the kitchen you mean.

anon speaks the truth.

alaska is part of the united states. way to make us look even worse.

Silly anonymous no.3 everyone knows women can't drive!

Lovely illustrations, except in India they drive on the same side of the road as in Britain, hence the steering wheel is also on the same side as Britain.

These are beautifully rendered paintings! And such an awesome concept.
It's a play on perception. Not how these countries and cultures really are, but how we perceive them. It takes their most visible traits and portrays them in a fun, colorful way. Love it!

Or did I just fail the internet because I didn't harp on racism? o_O

Alaska is a U.S. state. Africa is a continent.

Instead of bitching about stereotypes, think about how you noticed them....It takes one to know one.

Ain't that a bitch, you put the hindu and the black guy last. Nigga fuck you.

definetly love the "cave paintings" on the Inuits dash (Inuit, not alaskan. An Inuit could be from any of those 4 northern state/territories)

Anonymous said...

No, Inuit are one tribe. You're trying to be politically correct and backfiring.

I assumed 'twas Canada though.

funny how so much debate can be instigated by some cartoony pictures.

to the pompous jerk who doesn't think that typing 'space-i-t-space' was necessary even though it requires the same amount of effort and is actually EASIER to say than the archaic following a hard consonant: that does not look like canada - eh;

..and b, no taxi driver i have ever had in america has ever ever looked like that guy. not even in tejas.

i might add, though, that the quality of these illustrations is really good.

So much time and talent used to show off bigotry and intolerance. Not funny, not one of these is humorous.

If the point of the post was to use people's comments to grade the general intelligence of internet surfers then you are a genius.

If, however, you are merely a talented artist with a very creative brain; how dare you insite so much stupidity from us lowly surfers! I am going to have to thumb this up...

In my opinion the drawings have a racist's perception.
